Tujuan dari penulisan ini untuk mengkaji dan mengalisis perbedaan manajemen reksadana konvensional dan syariah dengan pendekatan DFD (Data Flow Diagram). Membandingkan jumlah reksadana konvensional dan syariah dan juga nilai aktiva bersih (NAB) keduanya. Reksadana syariah dari sisi jumlah sangat rendah dibandingkan dengan reksadana konvensional per 31 Desember 2015 jumlah reksadana syariah 86 jauh di bawah reksadana konvensional yang berjumlah 951. Dari sisi manajemen yang membedakan antara reksadana konvensional dan syariah adalah jenis portofolionya, perjanjian transaksinya, serta struktur organisasinya.
