INTEGRASI NILAI-NILAI SYURA DALAM ISLAM TERHADAP PENGEMBANGAN MANAJEMEN PENDIDIKAN ISLAM BERBASIS PARTISIPASI

Abstract

Contemporary Islamic educational management requires a leadership paradigm that is not only organizationally effective but also grounded in Islamic values that encourage the active participation of all stakeholders. One of the fundamental principles in Islam that is highly relevant to modern educational governance is shura (consultation). However, studies integrating the values of shura as reflected in the Prophetic traditions (hadith) with the development of participatory Islamic educational management remain relatively limited. This study aims to analyze the integration of shura values derived from the hadith into the development of participatory-based Islamic educational management. The research employed a qualitative approach using a library research design. Primary data were obtained from the Qur'an, the hadith, and authoritative hadith commentaries (sharh al-hadith), while secondary data were collected from books, scholarly journal articles, and relevant literature on Islamic educational management. Data were analyzed using content analysis with a descriptive-analytical approach to identify, interpret, and integrate the values of shura with participatory leadership theories in educational management. The findings reveal that shura embodies six fundamental values: openness, participation, equality, trustworthiness (amanah), justice, and ukhuwah (brotherhood). These values are consistent with the concepts of participative leadership, shared leadership, and good educational governance, and can be implemented across the managerial functions of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling within Islamic educational institutions. This study concludes that integrating the values of shura derived from the hadith provides a conceptual foundation for developing a participatory, democratic, collaborative, transparent, and accountable model of Islamic educational management, thereby contributing to the sustainable improvement of governance quality in Islamic educational institutions.
